Shipment Process

SHIPPING YOUR PUPPY: WHAT TO EXPECT

At Family Home Boston Terrier, we’ve been safely shipping puppies across the USA and Canada for over a decade. We understand your concerns, and we’re here to explain the procedure to put your mind at ease.

Airline Requirements:
To ship a puppy, airlines require a health certificate issued by a verified vet within 10 days of travel, confirming your puppy’s health. Some airlines may need an acclimation statement from the vet. Sedation is not allowed due to safety concerns. Puppies are checked in about two hours before the flight and can be picked up at the arrival gate or delivered to your doorstep if requested.

The Flight:
Puppies travel in the passenger cabin, cared for by a professional nanny. Carriers are lined with absorbent bedding, and paper towels provide warmth and a sense of security. The passenger cabin is pressurized and temperature-controlled, ensuring a comfortable journey.

After Arrival:
Upon arrival at the nearest airport, puppies are typically excited to see you. Be prepared with baby wet wipes and a towel for pickup, especially if you have a long ride home. Start in a small room to ease your puppy’s acclimation to the new environment and provide comfort during the transition.

Nanny Shipping:
If you’ve arranged for nanny delivery, rest assured that all aspects of the procedure will be expertly handled by the pet couriers we work with. Your puppy will be ready to explore and play when they arrive at your doorstep.

We prioritize your puppy’s safety and comfort during shipping, making it a smooth experience for both you and your new family member.
